Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
Our Dharma is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Our Dharma is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, and we are actively working to address these.
Measures We Have Taken
- Semantic HTML structure throughout the site
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds in both light and dark modes
- Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements
- Skip-to-content link at the top of each page for screen reader users
- Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
- ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and interactive elements
- Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels
- Respects the operating system's "reduce motion" preference
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas are still being improved:
- Some complex interactive components (e.g. the animated canvas elements) may not be fully accessible to screen readers — these are decorative and do not convey essential information.
- Some older article content may not yet have fully optimised heading structures.
We are actively working to address these limitations in future releases.
Technical Information
Our Dharma relies on the following technologies for conformance:
- HTML5
- CSS (including CSS custom properties)
- JavaScript (React)
- WAI-ARIA
